Socio-environmental impact of forestry development: an aproximation to the demand of proffesionals

Abstract

An opinion concerning the socio-environmental forestry development in Chile and the demand for professionals during the next decade is given. A view of the present situation of the forest engineer as well as the role he will play in the productive, environmental and social arenas are sketched.
