From the Parnaso to the Andes Mountains: founding metatexts (1842)

Abstract

This article analyses the main elements of the functioning of an emergent literary system receptive to contacts with other systems and its canon in a process of constitution: the literary movement of 1842 in Chile. Founding metatexts that are the key elements for the positioning, implicit and explicit expression of changes, both in the canon and in the implied identities.
