DIAGNÓSTICO DE CALIDAD Y PRODUCTIVIDAD EN LAS EMPRESAS DEL SECTOR METALMECÁNICO DE LA PROVINCIA DE VALDIVIA

Abstract

In the project DID-UACH (I-2003-03), Metalmechanic enterprises (companies) were diagnosed according to degree of employment of productivity and quality concepts in their management. Two sources of information were applied, a technical autoevaluation instrument based on criteria established by the Quality and productivity National Center was employed in the enterprises. A survey to measure expectancy satisfaction degree concerning products and services was applied to clients. The most deficient internal indicators are those related with Training and Strategy Planning; Quality Measurement and Analysis got the highest implementation degree. Clients pointed metrology as the most deficient, and materials quality as satisfactory.
