Metallurgical evaluation of Barmac crushers in a copper concentration plant

Abstract

The present work showed comparative results between Barmac B8100 crushers and conventional cone crushers during six months of operation in Cerrillos Concentration Plant (january-june 2008). Barmac equipment was introduced as an emergence step in the plant crusher circuits, without preliminary studies, in order to location or feasures of the system. The performance of Barmac crusher was satisfying showing that it is possible to use in ore dressing of medium copper mining, become it produces finest particles for milling step.
