Abstract

This work shows the application of an approximate method (Zalka's method) by means of numeric examples, in order to obtain certain parameters that define the global performances of the structure under requests of external loads. This method is based on the application of the concept of equivalent column and demonstrates that the stability, stress and frequency analysis can be related by means of the critical load ratio.
