Seasonal cycle of the European Brown Scale Parthenolecanium persicae (Bouché) ( Hemiptera, Coccidae) on Ribes spp in southern Chile

Abstract

P. corni  behaves as monovoltine on Ribes spp under southern Chile conditions. The European brown scale overwinters as second nymphal instar. Young adults were present from early September , the first eggs were laid from the third week of November, hatching and crawlers occurring from the end of December.
