Abstract

The advantages of linking an interactive model of phonetic-functional intonation analysis (Hidalgo 2011; 2014) with the Melodic Speech Analysis model (Cantero 2002; Font 2007; Cantero and Font 2002; Cantero and Mateo 2011) are shown, with the idea that combining both perspectives can enrich the description of the intonation of spontaneous speech and thus cover some habitual gaps in the investigation of the prosodic component. To the methodological exhaustiveness of the model of Melodic Analysis of the Speech we add a globalizing perspective (Interactive) that assumes the various functional possibilities of intonation in conversational discourse. The final objective of the proposal is to project its application to a broad corpus of spoken languages and to determine its degree of applicability, an aspect that is pending further work, given the essentially theoretical nature of the research now proposed.
