Abstract

This work analyzed the behavior of F0 and formants under diverse phonopragmatic and environmental situations. The analyzed corpus was integrated by 160 vocalic segments corresponding to a tonic vowel "a" inserted in 8 phonetically balanced contexts and emitted by an actress in an anechoic channel during reading, evidence, amazement, attenuation and non-conclusion situations, and then all of them reproduced by a phone, mobile phone and reverberant channels. The results showed that the phonopragmatic and environmental situations cause variations in the acoustic properties of the signal. The effects produced by these factors were not homogeneous. The F0 and formants were affected in different ways and degrees.
