Abstract

In this article we will inform about the appearance in the last 25 years in Chile of an original textual type rather unknown in the academic circles which represents a challenge from the point of view of its classification and analysis; we call this set of texts anthropology poetry. Our attempt to locate our typological question in the precise subject of the genre, in which it would be possible to locate these works, the hypothesis of the this article sustains that the work assembly made up of Chilean anthropological poetry consists basically in a different type of textual production, a new text genre. This genre is a hybrid character and its sources are in the anthropological scientific articles and literature, particularly in the poetic and novelistic dimension of literature, and connect with the postmodernity in its context.
