Abstract

In this paper I analize the poetry of the colombian poet Porfirio Barba-Jacob based on the “queer landscape” category. The poet strategically appropriates of (pos)modernist rhetoric to emphasis the terroir and regional to twist their meanings. In this way, the Barba-Jacob´s textual operation consists in queerizar the landscape questioning models of hegemonic masculinity, reproductives politics and simultaneously arguing with national allegories that are based among other things, in landscape imaginaries. In summary, “queer landscape” elabored by the poet is understood as the recognition of a deviant gaze and update throught the active rol of complicit reader who read obliquely reads mimetic signifiers.
