Qualification, Enrichment, and “Aspirational class”: A New Approach of Localized Agri-Food Systems (LAFS) in Latin America
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article reexamines the evolution of the concept of Localized Agri-Food System (LAFS), focusing on its relationship with consumption and the structure of the basket of place-qualified goods and services, in particular the growing importance given to tourism in the literature. The article presents new theoretical approaches that allow deepening the relationship between the rating of the basket and the rating of consumers through their practices of consumption. Furthermore, the article argues about the consequences on LAFSs dynamics and their contribution to sustainable development trajectories at the environmental and social level.
