Forensic anthropological investigation for cases of forced disappearance: Role of the criminalist in training at the Universities of Tamaulipas and Antioquia

Abstract
Enforced disappearance represents a worldwide problem that has affected different countries in Latin America, including Mexico and Colombia. This problem has forced the search for different strategies from academia and pedagogy in order to educate suitable and trained professionals to face the investigation in an accurate way.
The purpose of this research was to review the competencies of students who will integrate multidisciplinary teams in anthropological investigations in cases of enforced disappearance. In addition, to identify the minimum competencies required for the investigation of cases of missing persons. Therefore, it is planned to propose the design of a virtual simulator tool in higher level institutions to reinforces the knowledge of the students from different pedagogical strategies.
