A conceptual framework to understand the economy of Risk: Modernity, Taboo and Representations

Abstract
The recent Studies from Social sciences linked to risk have emphasized on the paradox created by the technical advance. While technology takes for granted the security, other unseen risks are involuntarily created. This view leads some scholars to prioritize mistakenly the role of reason or event declaring its inefficiency In the middle of this discussion, the present essay tries to adapt the thesis of solidarity in the founding parents of anthropology to create a new framework that allows further explanation of the social functioning of risks.
