Embracing participation in development. Critical analysis of the participation process
Main Article Content
Abstract
Participation is a crucial factor in development. Depending on the paradigm, it can be approached with greater or lesser leading role for people who experience a given reality. This concept lies in the exogenous or endogenous development. However, within the same approaches, there exists linearity and also invisibility of the subcultures rooted in the territory, conceiving a reality that "from within" it is homogeneous, questioning - in most cases - only the epistemology of the one that captures the particular situation, harming and invisibilizing the social actor from the global dimension and its role in regional development.
