Abstract

The traditional labour relation was created on the basis of some assumptions that no longer apply due to the changes that have taken place in the labour and business world. This new reality challenges labour law in many different ways and demands for a reassessment of its role as forms of jobs that depart from the traditional become more common. The article describes in a general and systematic way this process of transformation in the labour market and the crisis of the traditional forms of labour relations. The author calls for full legal recognition of non-typical jobs to make it possible that the needs of work protection may be met according to labour law's basic principles.
