Abstract

The industrial revolution, with all his forms of exploitation of man by man, and the resistance born of the union of workers, gave birth and initial form to our labour law, through collective struggle and the conflict produced by such unfair situation. Far from overcoming these times, we see today, with legitimate concern, how the paradigm of work has changed as a result of globalization, facing a new period of precarization. The large-scale conflict is, therefore, just around the corner. In this context, the object of this paper is to ask ourselves about the role of the State in this reality, characterized by a tense “tense calm”, a prelude to the eventual conflict and alteration of social peace. And also what the collective of workers has done about it. The ultimate goal of this exercise is to answer a simple question: Should we worry?
