On legal powers and the distinction between legal facts and acts-in-the-law

Abstract

This paper attempts to explain the notion of legal power and related notions, such as ‘acto jurídico’ (acts-in-the-law). The notion thus explained is then applied to ocupatio and traditio as legal forms to acquire ownership and to become possessor.
