The Impact of Private Buildings for Public Use on Cities. Urban and Architectural Design Strategies.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to discuss the use of passive systems and strategies applicable to buildings and which have a direct impact on public spaces, focusing on methods for the modification of interior comfort, as well as on energy optimization. An additional major goal is for the outcomes of the technical-architectural analysis to help in the development of a projection and design language. Specifically, the aim is preparing a design strategy report with which to set a precedent for a formal optimized design in new or modified works.
