Abstract
he TaMaLaCà (the acronym for Tutta mia la città) Group was born as a research lab of the Department of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning of the University of Sassari. This article discusses the ideas of the group through three landmark projects conducted in the city of Sassari, Sardinia, Italy. The first project took place in the San Donato quarter, in the city’s old town, while the other two were conducted in the suburban neighborhood of Monte Rosello. The common approach of all three projects was winning back urban spaces under parameters of sustainability. In these projects, the city’s agents of change are the citizens themselves, particularly those who are negatively impacted by poor urban approaches, such as children, pedestrian or the disabled.
