Individuation and Modernity: the Instalation of the Person in the Public Context

Abstract
From a review and systematization of the concept of Individuation and its centrality to the coordinates of present modernity, an analysis of this notion in relation to different research lines by the authors is made. Thus, the relationships between Individuation and Modernity linked to the Attention Deficit Disorder, the Meanings of Work and the notion of Happiness are tackled. This work was carried out under the framework of the Seminar on Sociocultural Psychology of the Doctoral Program in Psychology of the University of Chile, given during the first semester 2007 by the first author mentioned.
