Abstract
Professor of Ecology Economics at Universidad Austral de Chile, Director of the Institute of Economics. He established the principles of Barefoot Economics and the Theory of Human Scale Development, for which in 1983 he was awarded the Alternative Nobel Prize by the Swedish Parliament.
