Abstract

For some decades now Nestor García Canclini raised a question, as lucid as radical, that has not lost, at all, its freshness: What are we talking about when we talk about the popular? We have organized this article, precisely, as a comment and above all as an obstinate insistence on that question about the popular. So then, we propose a critical reading of that text by García Canclini, dated in 1983, in the current context of the socalled digital swarms.
