Abstract

In a Udivitrand, Hapludand and Palehumult of Southern Center Chile strength distribution generated by stress application to different soil wetnesess and traffic frequencies was determined. The strength was registered with transducers inserted on different soil depths. In soil with coarse texture dominate penetration of stress in the vertical sense. In soil with a finer texture stress propagation is multidirectional. A homogeneous distribution of stress is given by soil cohesion. Penetration in depth of stress in a drier soil is lesser than in a wet one, While finer soil texture increases range amplitude of stress for wet and dry soil humidity conditions. Concentracion factor depends on soil properties and theamount of applied load it is maximum below load center and diminishes toward the borders.. This coefficiet increases with soil moisture. When traffic frequency decreases concentration factor diminishes, this decreasing is more gradual in a wet soil that in a dry one.
