Abstract
The results of an economic and financial diagnosis of 30 small producers, selected from the different sectors of the Mafil Community, Valdivia, registered in the Technical Support Service (TSS) of the Agrarian Development Institute (INDAP) are presented. Information regarding milk and meat production during the 2007 season are presented with a detailed description of social and important technological and economic - financial variables of the selected farmers. The information which is related to December, 2007 is presented using a quantitative type of descriptive analysis. It is concluded that the farmers included in the study do not present disadvantages with regard to rate of solvency, appraised financial autonomy, degree of indebtedness, general liquidity and acid index, but they present disadvantages regarding profitability of their own and total capitals.
