Abstract

The aim of this systematic review was to analyse the recent scientific production (period 2017-2021) about use of the Service-Learning methodology in contexts with migrant presence or other expressions of cultural diversity into the of Physical Education and physical-sports activities fields. Six international databases (Web of Science, Scopus, Sportdiscus, Eric, Dialnet and Scielo) were consulted following the international PRISMA statement. The searches yielded 496 results. 199 were eliminated for duplication and 289 for not being relevant to the topic. Therefore, 8 manuscripts were eligible, of which only 4 met all the inclusion criteria set for this systematic review. The findings of the selected studies coincide in pointing out the positive impact of Service-Learning in favoring the development of intercultural competences and social inclusion processes in contexts with the presence of migrant populations or other cultural minorities.
