El Constructo Elección de Universidad: Un Análisis Bibliométrico con Bibliometrix

Resumen

Esta investigación analiza las publicaciones existentes sobre el constructo “Elección de Universidad” (EU) por parte de los estudiantes, usando la base de datos Web of Science durante 1991-2023, con ecuación de búsqueda: “Choice” and “University” and Student”, resultando 1078 documentos analizados con el software Bibliometrix. Las publicaciones se concentran en los últimos 13 años identificando una red de autores, principalmente del Reino Unido y Estados Unidos, que han realizado aportes significativos en este campo. Las principales revistas que publican en esta línea son “Higher Education”, “Economics of Education Review” y “Studies in Higher Education”. Se han identificado dos enfoques principales: uno centrado en el proceso decisional y otro en el logro académico. Se espera que futuras investigaciones profundicen en la comprensión del fenómeno utilizando esta revisión sistemática y contribuyan así a mejorar las políticas universitarias desarrollamdo programas de orientación estudiantil más efectivos e informados, tanto en el ámbito chileno como internacional.
