Abstract

The advantageus conditions which Chile presents for the apicultura, and the excellent perspectives outlined for this matter, have impeled the search for technologies which allow to strengthen its development. This has motivated the performance of this study where the traditional system with one queenbee per beehive, using the upright twined beehives.
The obtained results show that the reached average production for the system with two queens was of a 44% above the production obtained at the one queen beehive.
