Abstract

This instrumental research sought to determine the factorial structure and the psychometric properties of the adaptation of the Behavioral Scale of Anxiety for Examinations to the context of subjects with numerical content in Venezuelan university students, to obtain a scale version that would be more psychometrically rigorous. The methodology used was of 2 phases or steps, also known as a non-restrictive exploration with confirmatory purposes. The results indicate that, unlike the bifactorial model of the original study, this version has a structure of three factors in the first level, to which a total score of the second level can be added, whose calculation reflects the magnitude of the behavioral severity of anxiety. Its internal consistency was excellent, and its predictive capacity and factorial invariance remained to be determined.
