Environmental factors affecting children’s school performance

Abstract

This article shows the more salient environmental factors affecting school performance of children from low-income families. It is suggested that in order to improve children’s chance for a better performance at school, mothers should be trained in strategies to assist the learning process of their children to successfully achieve their goals. Also teachers should modify their teaching strategies.
