Abstract

This article deals with the analysis of the concept social exclusión. At the beginning, we make a brief reference about the origins and the evolution of social exclusión and we analyse some of the meanings that the authors grant to the concept in the literature. Also, we describe their more important features, linked to the several definitions before analysed. In addition, we define the main axes of the social integra-tion and factors that causes social exclusión and its outcomes to the education. Finally, we sum up how those factors converge in a typology of excluded people in our society.
