Abstract

This study seeks to examine the perceptions of students of the Master in Teacher Education in Secondary Education about the teaching and assessment methodology of university teachers. A descriptive co-relational design was used, carrying out data collection by adapting the “Questionnaire for the Assessment of Teaching Methodology and Evaluative University Professors.” Results show that teachers use the test as an assessment tool; students understand that an excellent teacher adequately explains its subject and dominates the subject they
teach. In addition, applications of the theory to classroom practice and encouragement of students’ participation is appreciated. Also, students distinguish teachers making summaries of what it was discussed in the tutorials, preparing the planning of their subjects properly and showing interest in them at a personal level.
