On the forms of practice of physical education in the kindergarten

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present results of a research on "good pedagogical practices" in body education in a Brazilian Kindergarten. Taking in account interviews, observation, class reports and several documents, we reflect about the relationship between formation, body education and pedagogical practices in Physical Education. The analysis suggests very advanced pedagogical practices if they are compared with regular practices, especially in terms of time, space and contents. Taking care of the other and of the common space, as well as improving friendship and refusing of all kind of violence were some issues found. A non-schematic thinking and the strong opposition against common-sense and instrumental reasoning take part of this context. In the endnotes we offer some ideas about new models of practice in Physical Education for Children.
